About Arcelia
Hailing from the valleys of Kent, Arcelia brings a rich mix of exceptional songwriting, outstanding vocals, and exquisite harmonies. Their sound has drawn comparisons to Crosby, Stills & Nash, Paul Simon, and America, blending heartfelt lyrics with breathtaking musical craftsmanship.
Arcelia – Gavin Alexander, Teresa Gallagher, and Simon Foster – are known for their captivating live performances. They have toured regularly with Chris Difford of Squeeze and Yvonne Lyon and have shared the stage as a support act for artists including Scott Matthews, Oysterband, Coope Boyes and Simpson, Michele Stodart, Maddy Prior, Boo Hewerdine, and Handsome Family.
Their latest EP, “Pick Up the Pieces,” was recorded in their own studio, a 150-year-old barn set within the ancient forest of Kent’s Elham Valley. The EP features guest musicians including Melvin Duffy (First Aid Kit, Squeeze) on pedal steel guitar, Martin Elliott (Michael Nyman Band) on bass, and jazz pianist Perry White on piano.
