DESCRIPTION:Folkestone Songwriting Festival Presents A Celebration of Carol Grimes.\nCarol Grimes has and continues to live an extraordinary life spanning 8 decades and over 60 of these as a vanguard and advocate of women musicians through the swinging sixties and as an activist and led the Rock Against Racism movement.\nThis special evening will be hosted by her friend and influential musician and feminist Annie Whitehead who has walked alongside Carol through some of the most significant and challenging times for women working in the music industry.\nIt is important that we do not lose the legacy that Carol Grimes has helped shape and that the truth behind not only Rock Against Racism but for all of the women who still face challenges regarding age\, gender whilst standing in their power.\nThere will also be a performance by Carol and Annie and other special guests.\nTickets: https://wegottickets.com/event/686500
